The FREUD DHS2500 is a 2-1/2 inch diameter hole saw designed for high-performance cutting in wood and metal applications. The saw features a variable tooth design that reduces vibration during cuts and increases cutting speed. Its deep 2-3/8 inch cutting depth allows the blade to bore through thicker stock in a single pass without repositioning. A tool-free plug ejection system clears cut material quickly, reducing downtime between holes. The Snap Lock mounting system enables fast, no-tool blade changes, compatible with one mandrel across the full Diablo hole saw range from 5/8 inch to 6 inch diameter. Mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately.
The DHS2500 is suited for residential and light commercial trade work where drilling clean, full-depth holes through wood framing, sheet metal, or similar materials is required. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians commonly use hole saws of this size for routing pipe, conduit, and duct penetrations through wood stud walls, floor decking, and metal panels. The 2-1/2 inch diameter suits common pipe and conduit pass-through applications. The Snap Lock system makes it a practical addition to a multi-size hole saw kit using a single shared mandrel.
Designed for use with the Diablo Snap Lock mandrel system, which fits all Diablo hole saws from 5/8 inch to 6 inch diameter. Suitable for cutting wood and metal. Mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately.
Installation of this hole saw is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or electricians during rough-in work. Secure the Snap Lock mandrel and pilot bit before use, and confirm the workpiece is clamped or otherwise fixed before drilling. When cutting metal, use appropriate cutting fluid and wear eye protection. Follow applicable local codes for penetration sizing and fire-blocking requirements when boring through rated assemblies.
