The FREUD DHS1375CT is a 1-3/8 inch carbide tipped hole saw designed for cutting through wood, nail-embedded wood, plastic, aluminum, metal, cast iron, and stainless steel in a single tool. The carbide-tipped construction delivers longer cutting life compared to standard bi-metal hole saws, making it well-suited for high-volume trade work where blade changes and downtime are costly. A 2-3/8 inch cutting depth allows the saw to cut 40 percent deeper holes in a single pass, reducing the need for repositioning or multiple cuts. The variable tooth design promotes faster material removal across a wide range of substrates. Licensed contractors and general tradespeople across electrical, plumbing, and HVAC disciplines will find this saw useful for production drilling tasks.
This hole saw is built for use on wood framing, nail-embedded lumber, plastic conduit and boxes, aluminum extrusions, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where a single hole saw needs to handle multiple material types without a tool change. The Snap Lock Plus mandrel system allows quick arbor swaps without downtime. The included mandrel fits all Diablo carbide and bi-metal hole saws ranging from 5/8 inch to 6 inch diameter, giving crews flexibility across a full set of saw sizes on the same job.
The included 1 Size Fits All mandrel is compatible with all Diablo hole saws in the carbide and bi-metal range from 5/8 inch to 6 inch diameter. The 5/8 inch threaded adapter fits hole saw diameters from 1-1/4 inches to 6 inches. The 1/2 inch threaded adapter fits diameters from 9/16 inch to 3-1/16 inches.
This hole saw is installed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors using a standard drill or drill press. Secure the pilot bit and mandrel firmly before use and confirm the arbor thread is fully engaged. Always wear eye protection and secure the workpiece before starting a cut. When cutting metal, use appropriate cutting fluid to extend saw life and reduce heat buildup.
