The FREUD DHS0625 is a 5/8-inch diameter hole saw engineered for high-performance cutting in wood and metal applications. Built under the Diablo product line, this saw features a variable tooth design that delivers faster cuts while reducing vibration during operation. The design provides a cutting depth of 1-5/8 inches, allowing tradespeople to bore through material in a single pass without repositioning. Tool-free plug ejection speeds up material removal between cuts, reducing downtime on the job. The Snap Lock mounting system enables quick, no-tool blade changes and is compatible with one Snap Lock mandrel that fits all Diablo hole saws ranging from 5/8 inches to 6 inches in diameter. The mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately.
This hole saw is suited for use in residential and light commercial applications where electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors need to bore clean holes through wood framing, sheet metal, electrical boxes, or similar materials. The compact 5/8-inch diameter makes it well-suited for routing conduit, piping, or cable passes through structural members. The single-pass cutting depth reduces the need for multiple tool setups, improving efficiency on high-volume rough-in work.
Designed for use with all Diablo Snap Lock mandrels covering hole saw diameters from 5/8 inches to 6 inches. Suitable for wood and metal cutting applications. Mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with rotary cutting tools and the applicable safety requirements for the work environment. Secure the mandrel and pilot bit firmly before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped or otherwise stable before beginning the cut. Disconnect power to the drill or driver before changing the hole saw. Follow NEC or applicable local codes when boring through structural or fire-rated assemblies.
