The FREUD DBX045250701F is a 4.5-inch Type 27 X-Lock metal grinding disc engineered for fast material removal and extended grinding life on handheld angle grinders. Built with a premium aluminum oxide blend, this disc delivers consistent stock removal on steel, iron, and other common metals. The fully reinforced construction handles the demands of cut-off and grinding work in tight or hard-to-reach areas. This SKU ships as a 10-pack, making it a practical stocking choice for shops and service fleets running high wheel turnover. Licensed tradespeople and fabrication crews working in structural, mechanical, or maintenance applications will find the disc performs reliably across a broad range of metal stock.
This grinding disc is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial metalworking applications. It is designed for use on handheld angle grinders and is particularly effective when working in confined spaces or awkward positions where control and disc longevity both matter. The Type 27 depressed-center profile provides clearance during flat grinding passes. Applications include weld blending, surface prep, deburring, and general metal stock removal on ferrous metals.
X-Lock accessories fit both X-Lock grinders and standard angle grinders. Standard angle grinder accessories are not compatible with X-Lock grinders. Designed as a replacement or consumable grinding disc for 4.5-inch handheld angle grinders accepting Type 27 discs.
Disc mounting and replacement should be performed by a qualified operator following the grinder manufacturer's instructions. Always power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before changing discs. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never operate above the maximum RPM rated for the disc. Eye protection, gloves, and appropriate PPE are required during operation per ANSI and OSHA guidelines.
