The FREUD 32-524 is a multi-rabbet router bit set designed for cutting precise rabbet joints at multiple depths using a single bit. The set includes seven interchangeable bearings that allow the operator to dial in flush, 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, 3/8 inch, 7/16 inch, and 1/2 inch rabbet widths without changing bits. The cutter body measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter and accepts a 1/2 inch shank router. The cutting edges are manufactured from TiCo high density carbide, which is engineered to stay sharper longer and handle a wider range of wood species and composite materials than standard carbide grades.
This bit set is suited for cabinetmakers, millworkers, and finish carpenters working on door and drawer construction, frame and panel assemblies, and back panel insets. It is equally applicable in shop settings and on the job site wherever a table-mounted or handheld router with a 1/2 inch collet is in use. Swapping bearings takes seconds, making this set a practical choice when multiple rabbet depths are required across a single project.
Designed for use with any router or router table fitted with a 1/2 inch collet.
Installation and bit changes should be performed with the router unplugged or the power switch locked out. Secure the bit to the full recommended collet engagement depth before tightening. When swapping bearings, inspect the bearing seat and retaining hardware for wear before reinstalling. Feed direction and workpiece clamping should follow standard router safety practices per the tool manufacturer guidelines.
