A silicone anti-drain back valve holds oil at the filter between engine cycles, supporting safe engine startups and reducing dry-start wear. The TG10060 is rated for up to 15,000 miles of service life, making it a fit for extended oil change intervals. A non-slip outer surface aids hand-tightening during installation and removal without a filter wrench.

Installation Notes

Oil filter replacement is performed by a qualified technician or experienced DIYer during scheduled oil changes. Always drain the engine oil and allow the engine to cool before removing the old filter. Apply a thin film of fresh motor oil to the new filter gasket before threading it on, and tighten to hand-tight plus approximately three-quarters of a turn per general spin-on filter practice. Verify there are no leaks at the filter base after restarting the engine.
