The FORNEY INDUSTRIES INC 71993 is a Type 29 depressed-center flap disc designed for use with right-angle grinders. Built from blue zirconia abrasive cloth, this 4-inch disc runs at 80 grit and features multiple overlapping flap layers that continuously expose fresh, sharp grinding points as the disc wears. The reinforced fiberglass backing plate provides structural support under load, and each disc is balance-tested at the factory to minimize vibration during grinding and finishing operations. A 5/8-inch arbor fits standard right-angle grinder spindles. The pack contains 10 discs.

This flap disc is suited for metal fabrication, weld blending, surface prep, and both rough stock removal and fine finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The Type 29 depressed-center geometry increases the contact angle, making it effective for working on flat stock as well as inside corners and contoured surfaces. Installation Notes

Installation and disc changes must be performed with the grinder powered off and unplugged.
