The Forney Industries 42292 is a 2-pound spool of E70S-6 classification MIG welding wire with a 0.035-inch wire diameter. E70S-6 is a copper-coated, solid mild-steel wire formulated for general-purpose MIG (GMAW) welding. The higher silicon and manganese content in E70S-6 wire makes it well suited for welding on base metals with light mill scale, rust, or surface contamination — conditions common in fabrication, repair, and maintenance work.
