The FORNEY INDUSTRIES INC 71892 is a Type 1 aluminum oxide cutting wheel engineered for metal cutting on circular saws. Measuring 7 inches in diameter with a 1/8 inch thickness and a 5/8 inch arbor bore, this flat-profile wheel is built for straight, controlled cuts through ferrous materials. The aluminum oxide abrasive delivers consistent stock removal on steel, iron, and similar metals. It ships in a package quantity of 20 wheels, making it a practical stock item for shops and field crews that move through abrasive wheels at volume. Licensed fabricators, welders, and metalworkers are the primary users.
This wheel is suited to metal cutting, metal abrasion, body work, and metal fabrication and general repair work on ferrous materials. The Type 1 flat wheel profile is the standard configuration for circular saw cutting attachments. It performs reliably in production fab shops, auto body environments, and general repair settings where straight cuts through steel or iron stock are routine.
Designed for use on circular saws only. Intended for cutting and abrading ferrous materials including steel and iron. Not rated for use on angle grinders or other rotary tools.
Installation and blade changes must be performed by qualified personnel following the saw manufacturer's instructions and all applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheels. Always power down and unplug or lock out the circular saw before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the wheel. Eye protection, hearing protection, and appropriate PPE are required during operation.
