The FORNEY INDUSTRIES INC 42295 is an ER4043 aluminum MIG welding wire designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of aluminum base metals. This wire features a 5 percent silicon content that improves fluidity and reduces cracking in the finished weld. It carries a bright finish for consistent feedability and clean arc starts. The wire flows freely at a melt point of 1,155 degrees F (624 degrees C), making it well suited for out-of-position and thin-gauge aluminum work. Each spool weighs 1 pound and measures 0.030 inches in diameter. Licensed welding professionals and experienced fabricators are the primary installers of this product.
This wire is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial MIG welding applications on aluminum assemblies. It is particularly well suited for repair work, automotive fabrication, and general aluminum structural welding where a low-silicon filler is not required. The ER4043 classification covers a wide range of heat-treatable and non-heat-treatable aluminum alloys. It works well with spool guns, which are the standard delivery method for small-diameter aluminum wire in push-pull and standard MIG setups.

Installation and use of MIG welding wire should be performed by a qualified welder or licensed professional.
