The FLUKE FLUKE-566 is a professional-grade infrared thermometer designed for non-contact surface temperature measurement across a wide range of trade applications. It covers a measurement range of -40 to 650 degrees C (-40 to 1202 degrees F) with a 30:1 distance-to-spot ratio, allowing technicians to take accurate readings from a safe distance. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent. The unit also includes contact thermometer capabilities via a K-Type thermocouple bead probe, making it a two-in-one diagnostic tool. HVAC technicians, electricians, and plumbers rely on this instrument for fast, reliable temperature checks on equipment, ductwork, electrical panels, and piping systems.
The FLUKE-566 is suited for residential and commercial service work where both non-contact and contact temperature measurement are needed in a single instrument. The 30:1 distance-to-spot ratio makes it practical for reading temperatures on elevated or hard-to-reach components such as rooftop units, motor housings, and electrical switchgear. The adjustable emissivity range of 0.10 to 1.00 accommodates a wide variety of surface materials encountered in the field.
Designed as a general-purpose infrared thermometer for use by HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other trade professionals requiring non-contact and contact surface temperature measurement.
De-energize or shut down equipment before making contact measurements with the included thermocouple probe. For non-contact measurements, ensure the target surface is within the effective distance-to-spot ratio for accurate results. Calibration and use should follow applicable NFPA 70E arc-flash safety guidelines when working near energized electrical equipment. Battery replacement requires two AA batteries.
