The FLUKE 80PK-24 is a Type K beaded thermocouple probe designed for temperature measurement in air and non-caustic gas applications. The probe features a stainless steel sheath measuring 8.5 inches in length and 0.125 inches in diameter, with a bare-bead junction that delivers a fast 3-second response time. A stainless steel baffle shields the bead from direct airflow damage. The straight PVC-coated cable terminates in a standard K-type connector, making it compatible with a wide range of Type K thermocouple meter inputs. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration service technicians are the primary installers and users of this probe in field diagnostics and system commissioning.
The 80PK-24 is suited for measuring air temperatures in duct systems, supply and return air streams, combustion air inlets, and similar gas-phase environments. It covers a measurement range of -320 degrees F to 1,500 degrees F, making it usable across both cryogenic and high-temperature gas service scenarios. This probe is not rated for liquid immersion. Typical field use includes HVAC system commissioning, furnace heat exchanger inspections, and refrigeration circuit air-side diagnostics where a fast-response, non-immersion sensor is required.
Designed for use with air and non-caustic gas measurement environments. Compatible with any meter or instrument that accepts a standard K-type thermocouple input connector. Not suitable for liquid immersion applications.
This probe is installed and used by HVAC technicians, refrigeration service technicians, and mechanical system inspectors. Before inserting the probe into a pressurized duct or air handler, verify that the system is de-energized or at safe operating pressure as appropriate to the task. Do not submerge the probe in liquids, as it is rated for air and non-caustic gas only. Handle the beaded junction with care to avoid mechanical damage that would affect measurement accuracy.
