The FLUIDMASTER b1f09 is a braided stainless steel faucet supply connector designed for lavatory faucet installations. It connects a 3/8-inch OD compression fitting at the stop valve to a 1/2-inch FIP fitting at the faucet inlet. The core is a flexible polymer tube wrapped in braided stainless steel, which resists bursting, kinking, and creasing even in confined cabinet spaces. Nickel-plated brass hex nuts provide a secure, easy-to-grip connection, and extra-long crimped stainless ferrules add mechanical integrity at each end. The b1f09 carries a 5-year warranty and is lead-free, meeting applicable code requirements for flexible water supply connectors. Plumbers and skilled DIYers install this connector as a direct supply line replacement or upgrade.
This connector is suited for residential lavatory faucet supply applications where the shutoff valve has a 3/8-inch compression outlet and the faucet tail piece accepts a 1/2-inch FIP connection. The 9-inch length is a standard fit for vanity and pedestal sink cabinets with typical valve-to-faucet spacing. Its flexibility simplifies routing in tight undersink spaces, and the braided stainless jacket protects against abrasion and accidental impact from cabinet items. It is an appropriate replacement for aging plastic or chrome-plated copper supply lines that show corrosion or wear.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement faucet supply connector for residential lavatory applications using 3/8-inch OD compression shutoff valves and 1/2-inch FIP faucet inlets.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the water supply at the angle stop or main shutoff and relieve line pressure before disconnecting the existing supply line. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the valve and the FIP nut onto the faucet tail piece, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten, as polymer-core connectors do not require high torque. After restoring water supply, inspect both ends for leaks before closing the cabinet.
