The FLEXDUCT 760C is a UV-inhibited fiberglass flexible air duct rated R6, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC distribution systems. Measuring 7 inches in diameter and sold in 25-foot lengths, this flex duct connects air handlers, fan coil units, and distribution boxes to supply registers and diffusers. The black outer jacket resists UV degradation, making it suitable for installations where the duct may see incidental light exposure. The R6 insulation value reduces thermal loss in unconditioned spaces such as attics and crawlspaces. HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers for this product category.
This flex duct is used in ducted forced-air HVAC systems for supply-side air distribution. It is well suited for attic installations, suspended ceiling plenum runs, and branch duct takeoffs from main trunk lines. The 25-foot bag length covers typical branch runs between the trunk and the register boot. The fiberglass insulation core provides thermal and acoustic performance. The black outer jacket is a common specification for attic applications where UV resistance is a practical consideration.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation flex duct for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems requiring a 7-inch diameter R6-rated insulated flexible duct.
Flex duct installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal contractors in accordance with ACCA Manual D and local mechanical codes. Shut down the air handling system and confirm the system is de-energized before connecting or disconnecting duct sections. Secure inner liner, insulation, and outer jacket to fittings separately using approved clamps and mastic or UL 181B-rated tape — do not use standard cloth duct tape. Avoid sharp bends and excessive compression of the duct core, as both increase static pressure and reduce airflow.
