The FLEXDUCT 720C is a UV-inhibited fiberglass flexible air duct designed for residential and light commercial HVAC distribution systems. Built with a black outer jacket that resists ultraviolet degradation, this flex duct maintains structural integrity in exposed or semi-exposed installations such as attics, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms. The R4.2 insulation value reduces thermal loss along the duct run, helping the system deliver conditioned air efficiently to each register. At 7 inches in diameter and 25 feet in length, it covers a full trunk-to-register run in most residential applications. HVAC technicians and sheet metal installers handle this product during new construction and system replacement work.
This flex duct is suited for supply and return air applications in forced-air systems using gas, electric, or heat pump equipment. The 7-inch diameter is a common size for branch runs in residential load calculations. The UV-inhibited outer jacket makes it appropriate for attic installations where direct or reflected sunlight exposure is a concern. The 25-foot continuous length reduces the number of field splices required, which supports lower system pressure drop and better airflow to the end register.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction flex duct for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC branch duct applications requiring a 7-inch diameter flexible duct with R4.2 insulation.
Flex duct installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians or sheet metal contractors. The system should be powered down and the air handler locked out before making duct connections. Duct connections must be secured with approved clamps or straps and sealed with mastic or UL 181B-rated tape in accordance with local mechanical codes. Avoid sharp bends or compressed sections that restrict airflow and reduce effective insulation performance.
