The FLEXDUCT 2060 is a UV-inhibited fiberglass flexible air duct rated at R6 insulation, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC distribution systems. The black outer jacket resists UV degradation, making it suitable for installations where the duct may be exposed to ambient light. At 20 inches in diameter and 25 feet in length, this flex duct is sized for high-volume air distribution trunk or branch runs. Licensed HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors install this product as part of forced-air supply and return duct systems.
This flex duct is used in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems where insulated flexible ducting is required between the air handler or plenum and the supply boots or grilles. The 20-inch diameter accommodates high-airflow trunk applications. The R6 fiberglass insulation meets common energy code minimums for conditioned-space duct installations. The UV-inhibited outer jacket extends service life in attic and crawl space environments with incidental light exposure.
Designed as an OEM-style flexible duct for use in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC distribution systems requiring a 20-inch insulated flex duct with R6 insulation value.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with ACCA Manual D and applicable local mechanical codes. Power down and lock out the air handling unit before connecting or modifying duct runs. Secure both ends of the flex duct with approved metal bands and mastic or UL 181B-listed tape — never standard cloth duct tape. Avoid sharp bends and excessive compression of the insulation, as both significantly reduce effective airflow and thermal performance.
