The FLEXDUCT 1260C is a UV-inhibited fiberglass flexible air duct rated at R6 insulation value, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC distribution systems. Measuring 12 inches in diameter and 25 feet in length, this duct runs conditioned air from supply plenums or branch takeoffs to diffusers and registers. The black outer jacket resists UV degradation, making it suitable for installations with exposure to ambient light. Fiberglass construction provides both thermal insulation and acoustic dampening across the duct run. Licensed HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers of this product.
This flex duct is used in forced-air heating and cooling systems where flexible routing is required around structural obstacles or through tight ceiling, crawlspace, and attic spaces. The 12-inch diameter suits high-volume trunk-to-diffuser runs in larger residential zones or light commercial applications. The 25-foot bag length allows a full run from a trunk line to a remote register without splicing in many standard layouts. R6 insulation value meets or exceeds energy code minimums in most jurisdictions for unconditioned space installations.
Designed as an OEM-style flexible duct for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC distribution systems requiring a 12-inch diameter R6-rated flex duct.
Flex duct installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians in accordance with ACCA Manual D and applicable local mechanical codes. Power down and lock out the air handling unit before connecting or repositioning flex duct runs. Secure each end with an approved duct strap or draw band and mastic or UL-listed duct tape rated for the application — never use standard cloth duct tape. Avoid sharp bends or compression of the duct, as restrictions reduce airflow and system efficiency.
