The FLEXDUCT 06SERIESBAG is an aluminum uninsulated flex duct connector designed for low-pressure air distribution in forced-air HVAC systems. Constructed from aluminum, this connector provides a flexible yet durable transition between rigid ductwork and air terminals such as registers, grilles, and diffusers. At 4 inches in diameter and 25 feet in length, it gives installers enough material to complete multiple branch runs from a single coil. HVAC technicians and sheet metal contractors are the primary installers of this product in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This flex duct connector is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air systems where a non-insulated, flexible air passage is required. Common applications include short branch runs from a trunk line to a supply outlet, equipment connections in unconditioned spaces where insulation is not required by code, and installations where flexibility is needed to navigate around obstructions in tight ceiling or crawl space configurations. Because this connector is uninsulated, it is best suited for conditioned or interior plenum environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use flex duct connector for 4-inch branch duct applications in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or sheet metal contractor in accordance with applicable mechanical codes, including SMACNA duct construction standards and local jurisdiction requirements. Power down the air handling unit and confirm the system is de-energized before connecting or disconnecting any ductwork. Secure both ends of the flex connector with approved draw bands or clamps and seal with mastic or listed duct tape to maintain system pressure. Avoid over-stretching or compressing the flex connector, as both conditions reduce airflow and system efficiency.
