The FLANGE WIZARD 1118-L Multi-Hole Imager is a precision layout tool designed for pipefitters, welders, and fabricators who need accurate hole placement on pipe, plate, or irregular surfaces. Built from anodized aluminum, the 1118-L features a switchable ON/OFF magnet that holds the tool firmly to round, flat, or irregular ferrous surfaces without permanent attachment. A built-in leveling vial in the main tower allows the tech to verify orientation before scribing. The tool lays out both round and elongated holes, including ellipses, to match pipe laterals coming in at compound angles or at 90 degrees, making it a versatile single-tool replacement for multiple dedicated templates.
The 1118-L is used in pipe fabrication shops and field piping installations where saddle branches, lateral connections, and compound-angle intersections must be accurately transferred to header pipe or plate. The integrated protractor includes an adjustable shaft and sliding marking arm that fits in the main arm of the Imager, enabling layout of elliptical holes in header pipe for compound pipe laterals. It also handles 90-degree saddle branch layouts in round pipe. The tool ships in a polypropylene carrying case (p/n 8900) for job-to-job protection. A Spring Buckle Strap (p/n 5010) is available separately for use on non-magnetic surfaces.
Designed for layout work on pipe and flat plate in pipefitting and welding fabrication applications. Compatible with non-magnetic surfaces when used with the optional Spring Buckle Strap (p/n 5010). Sold as a single unit; carrying case p/n 8900 included.
This is a layout and marking tool, not a structural or pressure-containing component. Verify tool level using the built-in vial before scribing hole patterns. On non-magnetic surfaces, secure the tool with the Spring Buckle Strap (p/n 5010) prior to marking. Always follow applicable fabrication codes and shop safety procedures when cutting or welding marked locations.
