The FLAGRO FVO-400 is a 390,000 BTU/h indirect fired oil heater built for demanding temporary heat applications in construction, industrial, and commercial settings. It runs on No. 1 or No. 2 diesel or kerosene and delivers clean, duct-safe warm air through a 16-gauge 304 stainless steel heat exchanger that keeps combustion gases fully separated from the heated airstream. A Riello burner with an integrated nozzle pre-heater ensures reliable cold-weather startup, and the low-temperature fuel pump maintains consistent fuel delivery in freezing conditions. Power supply is 115 volts, single phase, 60 Hz, drawing 10.5 amps. Licensed HVAC technicians and industrial heating contractors are the primary installers for this unit.
The FVO-400 is suited for large-scale temporary heating where clean, ductable heat is required — enclosed construction sites, warehouses, aircraft hangars, tent structures, and similar high-volume spaces. The unit supports extended duct runs, making it practical when the heat source must be located away from the occupied zone. The 42-gallon onboard fuel tank provides approximately 14 hours of runtime at a consumption rate of 2.81 gallons per hour. Two 16-inch high-density flat-free wheels allow repositioning on jobsites without a forklift. The air outlet accommodates either a dual 12-inch diameter duct configuration or a single 16-inch diameter duct, giving installers flexibility depending on site layout.
Designed for use with No. 1 diesel, No. 2 diesel, or kerosene fuel. Compatible with standard temporary heating duct systems using 12-inch or 16-inch diameter flexible or rigid duct. Consult Flagro documentation for approved duct run lengths and configurations.
Installation and commissioning should be performed by a qualified heating technician or licensed contractor familiar with indirect fired temporary heaters. Shut off and fully de-energize the unit before servicing fuel lines, filters, or burner components. Maintain required clearances from combustibles as specified in the manufacturer documentation and applicable local codes. Use a combustion analyzer to verify proper combustion performance and follow all local regulations governing fuel storage and venting.
