The FLAGRO F-400T is a 400,000 BTU/h direct-fired forced-air construction heater built for temporary heating on job sites, construction enclosures, and large work areas. The unit runs on either propane or natural gas and delivers 2,000 CFM of heated airflow through a 1/3 HP fan motor, making it effective for spaces up to approximately 5,000 square feet depending on conditions. Electronic direct spark ignition and a flame safety control system manage startup and continuous flame monitoring. Power requires a standard 120-volt, 60 Hz, single-phase circuit drawing 12 to 15 amps. Licensed HVAC technicians and qualified mechanical contractors install and commission this class of direct-fired equipment.
The F-400T is suited for temporary heat in residential and commercial construction, renovation, concrete curing, and industrial worksites where both portability and high heat output are required. The dual-fuel design allows the unit to be configured for propane or natural gas supply, reducing fuel sourcing constraints across varied site conditions. The included 15-foot hose assembly (S52180-12, 3/4 inch ID, male pipe x male pipe) connects the unit to a bulk supply line or cylinder manifold. The included wheel kit makes repositioning practical without additional handling equipment.
Designed as a portable direct-fired construction heater for temporary heating applications on propane or natural gas supply systems. No specific OEM replacement or system compatibility is stated by the manufacturer for this unit.
Installation and commissioning of direct-fired construction heaters must be performed by a qualified technician familiar with local mechanical and fuel gas codes, including IFGC requirements where applicable. Shut off the fuel supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing the unit or making any fuel line connections. Ensure adequate ventilation is present before operating a direct-fired heater in any enclosed space, as combustion products discharge directly into the heated area. Inspect the hose assembly and all fuel connections for leaks using an approved leak-detection solution prior to every use.
