The First Company 37CDXW is a 3.0-ton Aquatherm ceiling-mounted fan coil designed for combined DX cooling and hot water heating applications. It delivers 36,000 BTU/h of DX cooling capacity and 47,800 BTU/h of hot water heating capacity, making it a dual-function unit suited for spaces where a single ceiling coil must handle both seasons. The unit uses a piston-type metering device and ships configured for R-410A refrigerant only. A two-speed PSC motor drives airflow, and the unit includes a 120/24-volt relay and transformer. This coil is intended for servicing existing Aquatherm installations, not new construction pairings outside its rated refrigerant and water system requirements. Licensed HVAC technicians perform installation and commissioning.
The 37CDXW is ceiling-mounted and fits residential and light-commercial applications where Aquatherm-style fan coil systems are already in service. The unit combines a two-row hot water heating coil with DX cooling in one cabinet, reducing the need for separate terminal equipment. No pump is included. Hot water heating performance is rated at 4.8 GPM at 180 degrees F. The unit is intended for use with R-410A exclusively and is not compatible with legacy refrigerants. It is appropriate for replacement installations in existing Aquatherm ceiling fan coil systems where the original equipment used the same refrigerant and hydronic heating configuration.
Designed as a replacement fan coil for existing First Company Aquatherm ceiling fan coil systems using R-410A refrigerant and hot water heating. This unit is for servicing existing equipment only and ships ready for R-410A. No pump is included. Manufacturer part number for this configuration is 37CDXW201UAP000AAF.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician with EPA Section 608 certification for R-410A handling. Power down all electrical circuits and shut off the hydronic supply and return lines before removing the existing coil. Verify that existing refrigerant line sets, drain pan connections, and electrical service match the dimensions and ratings of this unit before mounting. Do not use this coil with refrigerants other than R-410A.
