The FIRE-LITE flt-mdf-300 is a dual addressable monitor module designed for intelligent, two-wire fire alarm systems. It supervises and monitors initiating device circuits (IDCs), supporting dry-contact input devices such as conventional heat detectors, manual pull stations, and two-wire smoke detectors. The module provides two independent IDCs at two separate, consecutive addresses on the signaling line circuit. A single panel-controlled LED provides local status indication. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors install this module as part of addressable system expansions or new construction fire alarm installations.
This module is suited for commercial and light industrial fire alarm applications where intelligent addressable control panels are specified. It is used to bring conventional initiating devices into an addressable system architecture, allowing each circuit to report independently to the fire alarm control panel. Typical installations include office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and other occupancies requiring addressable detection with multiple supervised input zones.
Designed for use with intelligent, two-wire addressable fire alarm control panels that accept dual monitor module devices. Consult the fire alarm control panel listing and system design documents to confirm address capacity and module compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage contractor in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. Disconnect power from the fire alarm control panel and verify the signaling line circuit is de-energized before wiring the module. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram for correct IDC and SLC connections. After installation, perform a full point-to-point test to verify both addresses report correctly to the control panel.
