The Fieldpiece SM480V is a wireless, digital 4-port refrigerant manifold built for HVAC and refrigeration technicians who need fast, accurate, and reliable data in the field. This unit is part of the SMAN manifold series, which was developed using years of direct feedback from A/C and refrigeration specialists. The result is a rugged, feature-packed tool designed to help technicians work faster and deliver better results on every job.

The SM480V features a heavy-duty overmold casing with a reinforced hook, water resistance, an impact-resistant screen, and a hermetically sealed sight glass. These design choices make the manifold ready for tough field conditions. Strategically placed thermocouple ports allow for precise temperature measurement during diagnostics and charging procedures.

Data logging is built in. The SM480V stores up to 9 jobs internally and logs up to 7 days, or 168 continuous hours, of data. Technicians can download records through a USB port. The display shows the percentage of free storage space before logging begins, so there are no surprises mid-job.

The tightness test feature allows technicians to check for leaks after repairs or installations. It tracks pressure differential over time with a built-in timer, and uses temperature compensation with the SL temp probe to prevent false positives. This adds confidence and documentation to every pressure test.

Wireless connectivity sets the SM480V apart from standard analog manifolds. It communicates directly with Job Link tools including the JL3RH Psychrometer, JL3PC Pipe Clamps, and SR47 Refrigerant Scale. Live readings from these tools appear directly on the manifold screen. The SM480V also connects to the Job Link System App, giving technicians a wireless range of up to 1000 feet from their mobile device. Through the app, technicians can monitor refrigerant weight, generate professional service reports, and reduce callback rates.

User settings are fully customizable. Technicians can adjust auto power-off duration, backlight duration, vacuum alarm thresholds, and individual units of measurement to match their preferred workflow.

The SM480V ships with two TC24 wired Type-K pipe clamp thermocouples, one ATA1 Type-K bead thermocouple with clip, and one ANC11 padded drawstring case.
