The FIBRE-METAL 69029108833 is a 3/4 inch, 3000-pound-class forged steel 45 degree threaded elbow conforming to ASTM A105 carbon steel material standards. This fitting changes pipe direction at a 45 degree angle in high-pressure screwed piping systems. It is used in process, mechanical, and industrial plumbing applications where a standard 90 degree turn is too abrupt or space constraints require a shallower directional change. Licensed pipefitters and journeyman plumbers install these fittings in schedule 80 and heavier screwed pipe systems. The A105 carbon steel construction provides durability in demanding pressure and temperature conditions typical of commercial and industrial service lines.
This elbow is suited for 3/4 inch screwed piping systems operating under elevated pressure conditions in commercial mechanical rooms, industrial process lines, and heavy-duty plumbing installations. The 3000-pound pressure class designation makes it appropriate for high-pressure steam, gas, oil, and water service lines where standard 150-pound malleable iron fittings are not rated for the application. Installers working on hydronic heating systems, compressed air headers, or fuel gas distribution headers commonly specify this fitting class for threaded connections at direction changes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install forged steel threaded fitting for 3/4 inch screwed piping systems rated for 3000-pound service class.
Installation of high-pressure forged steel threaded fittings should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code or ASME B31.1 and B31.3 for pressure piping. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before disassembly or installation. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid before threading the fitting onto the mating pipe. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as this can cause cracking in the fitting body or damage to mating pipe threads.
