The FERNCO 1001-44 is a flexible PVC coupling designed for Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) piping systems. It connects 4-inch clay pipe to 4-inch clay pipe, providing a reliable, watertight joint without the need for solvent welding or hot work. The coupling body is manufactured from PVC and is unaffected by soil conditions, making it suitable for underground and below-grade installations. Two 300-series stainless-steel clamps are included and seat into band slots on the coupling sleeve, allowing the installer to achieve a secure, evenly distributed clamp load across the joint.
This coupling is used in residential and light commercial DWV applications where clay pipe connections are required. Installation Notes
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments.
