The FERGUSON ENTERPRISES b1370126 is an OEM replacement pressure switch rated at a setpoint of negative 0.40 inches water column (WC). Pressure switches monitor differential pressure inside a furnace or air handler to verify that the inducer motor is creating adequate draft before allowing ignition to proceed. This switch is a direct replacement component used in Goodman and Amana HVAC equipment. Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC technician during routine service, troubleshooting, or equipment repair.
This pressure switch is designed for use in residential gas furnace applications where draft-proving is required as part of the ignition sequence. It fits into the pressure switch circuit on the control board and works in conjunction with the inducer assembly and vent system. When the inducer motor fails to establish proper negative pressure, the switch remains open and prevents the furnace from firing, protecting the system from unsafe operating conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement pressure switch for Goodman and Amana residential gas furnace equipment.
A licensed HVAC technician should perform pressure switch replacement. Before servicing, disconnect power to the furnace at the disconnect switch or breaker and confirm the gas supply is off. The pressure switch connects via rubber tubing to the inducer housing and wires into the low-voltage control circuit. Inspect the tubing for cracks or blockages before installing the new switch, as damaged tubing can cause a new switch to fault immediately after installation.
