The FALCON STAINLESS FAL-SWTF-18 is a corrugated stainless steel flexible connector designed for water heater supply line connections. It features a 3/4 inches Female Iron Pipe (FIP) inlet on one end and a 7/8 inches copper sweat outlet on the other, spanning 18 inches in length. Built from stainless steel corrugated flex construction, it handles a working pressure of 250 psi, making it suitable for standard residential and light commercial domestic hot water supply applications. Plumbers and water heater installers use this connector to bridge the supply shutoff valve to the water heater inlet with a flexible, vibration-tolerant run.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial water heater installations where the supply line terminates in a 3/4 inches FIP fitting and the water heater cold inlet stub is sized for a 7/8 inches copper sweat connection. The 18 inches length provides enough slack to accommodate minor misalignment between the shutoff valve and the heater inlet, and the corrugated stainless steel body resists corrosion in damp mechanical room environments. It is installed by licensed plumbers during new water heater installations and replacements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement flexible connector for residential and light commercial water heater installations requiring a 3/4 inches FIP x 7/8 inches copper sweat connection.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the cold water supply and relieve system pressure before disconnecting or installing any water line connector. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the FIP threaded connection and use a proper sweat soldering technique on the copper sweat end per IPC guidelines. Do not overtighten the FIP connection or exceed the rated working pressure of 250 psi.
