The FALCON STAINLESS FAL-SWC1-12 is a flexible corrugated stainless steel connector designed for tankless water heater installations. Built from bright annealed 304 corrugated stainless steel, it measures 12 inches in length with 1-inch female iron pipe (FIP) threaded connections on both ends. The connector handles working pressures up to 200 psi and a burst rating of 1,850 psi, with a temperature range of -40 to 220 degrees F. Chrome plated brass nuts and a high-temperature EPDM washer are included. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this connector as part of a code-compliant tankless water heater hook-up.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial tankless water heater installations where a flexible, vibration-absorbing connection is required between the water heater and the supply or outlet piping. The 12-inch length provides enough flexibility to accommodate minor misalignment and thermal movement. The 1-inch FIP x 1-inch FIP end connections match standard residential tankless water heater inlet and outlet port sizing. It meets multiple plumbing code standards, making it appropriate for permitted installations in jurisdictions that adopt the UPC, IPC, or IRC.
Designed as a flexible supply or outlet connector for tankless water heaters requiring 1-inch FIP connections, suitable for installations governed by UPC, IPC, IMC, and IRC codes, and certified under ANSI/NSF 61, ASME A112.18.6, ICC-ES PMG, and CSA B125.6.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the applicable adopted standard (UPC, IPC, or IRC). Shut off the cold water supply and depressurize the system before disconnecting any existing connectors. Hand-tighten the brass nuts first, then use a wrench to snug without overtightening, as the corrugated tubing can be damaged by excessive torque. Inspect the EPDM washer for proper seating before pressurizing the system.
