The FALCON LOCK W561BDDAN626-2 3/4 is a cylindrical classroom-function lockset designed for commercial and institutional door hardware applications. It features a Dane lever design with a deadlatch mechanism and is built to accept a Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) — supplied less core, so the installer provides the core separately. The outside lever locks via key, while the inside lever remains free at all times for immediate egress. The unit ships ready for a 2-3/4 inch backset and carries a Grade 2 ANSI rating. Finish is US26D/626 Satin Chrome.
This lockset is intended for classroom and similar institutional environments where controlled entry is required from the outside while unrestricted egress must be maintained from the inside. It is suited for interior doors in K-12 schools, universities, government facilities, and commercial office buildings. Installation typically follows ANSI/BHMA standards for cylindrical locksets. An ANSI strike plate is included.
Designed as an OEM-style cylindrical lockset replacement or new installation unit for commercial and institutional doors prepared for standard cylindrical lock boring with a 2-3/4 inch backset.
Installation should be performed by a qualified locksmith or door hardware professional in accordance with the door manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes. Confirm the door is properly prepped for a cylindrical lockset bore before beginning. The core must be sourced and installed separately — do not operate the lockset without a properly fitted SFIC core in place. Verify strike plate alignment and latch projection before returning the door to service.
