The FAIRLANE PG-0620 is a fully threaded adjustable positioning gripper designed for workholding and fixture applications in manufacturing and assembly environments. It features a serrated tooth face pattern with a fine tooth grade for secure, repeatable gripping contact on workpieces. The 5/8-18 thread size and 1 inch thread length allow precise axial positioning, while the carbide-tipped contact surface delivers extended service life under repeated clamping cycles. The black oxide finish provides a base level of corrosion resistance for shop floor conditions. Mechanical and fixture technicians use this gripper when positive, adjustable part location is required in jigs, fixtures, or automated workholding setups.
The PG-0620 suits industrial workholding applications where adjustable, friction-based part location is needed. It is commonly installed in machining fixtures, assembly jigs, and custom tooling plates. The fully threaded body threads directly into a tapped hole in the fixture body, enabling fine positional adjustment along the thread axis. The serrated pad face grips the workpiece surface to resist lateral movement during clamping. This gripper is suited for light to medium force applications where surface marking from the serrated teeth is acceptable.
Designed as a direct-install adjustable positioning gripper for tapped 5/8-18 holes in fixture plates, tooling bodies, and workholding assemblies requiring a fully threaded gripper configuration.
Installation is performed by mechanical or tooling technicians using a 5/16 inch hex key. Thread the gripper into a tapped 5/8-18 hole and adjust axial position to the desired contact height before locking in place with a jam nut if required by the fixture design. Ensure the fixture assembly is de-energized and clear of moving equipment before adjusting gripper position. Do not exceed the clamping force rating of the fixture body material when applying torque to the gripper body.
