The ESAB 2320266 is a drag tip accessory designed for plasma cutting torches. It mounts at the front end of the torch body and controls the standoff distance between the nozzle and the workpiece by allowing the tip to contact the material surface during the cut. This contact-cutting method helps maintain a consistent arc and cut quality without requiring the operator to hold a precise manual standoff. The part is sold individually and weighs 0.5 pounds. It is installed and replaced by welding and cutting equipment technicians as routine consumable maintenance.
This drag tip is intended for use with the Thermal Dynamics 1 Torch in SL60 and SL100 configurations. It is suited to production cutting and field cutting applications where contact-drag technique is preferred over standoff cutting. Typical applications include ferrous and non-ferrous plate cutting in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial job sites. The drag tip is a consumable item and is replaced as part of standard torch maintenance when cut quality degrades or tip wear is visible.
Designed for use with the Thermal Dynamics 1 Torch SL60 and SL100 plasma cutting torches.
Installation is performed by a qualified welding or cutting equipment technician. Disconnect and power down the plasma cutting unit completely before removing or installing any torch consumables. Hand-tighten the drag tip to the torch head — do not use excessive force, as over-torquing can damage torch threads. Inspect the shield cup, electrode, and nozzle at the same service interval and replace any worn consumables before returning the torch to service.
