The ESAB 0558-102697 is an inverter-based, multi-process CC/CV welding machine rated at 500 amps, designed for heavy-duty industrial and fabrication work. The Warrior 500i supports MIG, stick, and TIG-compatible processes in a single unit, delivering consistent arc performance with the energy efficiency characteristic of inverter topology. At 60% duty cycle, the machine outputs 500 A, making it suitable for long continuous runs on demanding applications. The compact inverter platform reduces weight and footprint compared to transformer-based equivalents, without sacrificing output stability. This machine is intended for installation and operation by qualified welding professionals in industrial, construction, and maintenance environments.
The Warrior 500i is built for heavy-duty productivity in both indoor and outdoor settings. Its IP23 environmental protection rating makes it appropriate for use in rough conditions where exposure to dust and limited moisture contact is a factor. The glove-friendly front-panel controls and clear user interface reduce setup time on the job site. The 460V, three-phase input configuration suits commercial and industrial facilities with standard three-phase power infrastructure. This basic package provides the core welding unit without accessory bundles, allowing experienced welders and contractors to supply their own torches, cables, and consumables.
Designed as an OEM multi-process inverter welding machine for use with standard industrial 460V three-phase power supplies. Compatible accessories and consumables should be selected to match CC or CV process requirements based on application.
Installation and electrical connection should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local jurisdiction requirements. Confirm that the supply circuit is rated for the input voltage and amperage draw of the machine before energizing. Power down and lockout/tagout the supply circuit before making or changing any wiring connections. The IP23 rating permits outdoor use but does not qualify the unit for direct rain exposure or submersion.
