The ERGODYNE 17236 is a full-fingered work glove built for general-purpose field work where grip on smooth surfaces is the primary demand. The palm and wrapped index finger feature a hex-pattern silicone coating that locks onto boxes, cartons, and similar smooth loads without adding bulk. The back is constructed from breathable polyester mesh to reduce heat buildup during extended wear. A low-profile, molded hook-and-loop cuff closure delivers a secure, adjustable fit. The glove weighs approximately 0.23 pounds per pair and meets ANSI 105 and EN 388 standards. It is sized for men's 2X-Large and women's 3X-Large and is offered as a pair.
The 17236 is suited for light industrial, warehouse, and field service environments where workers handle smooth or flat surfaces such as cardboard boxes, cartons, and packaged goods. The lint-free construction makes it appropriate for applications where fiber contamination is a concern. The breathable polyester mesh back keeps hands cool during repetitive handling tasks, making this glove practical for sustained use in distribution, logistics, and general trade work. It is not intended for high-voltage electrical work, cut-hazard environments requiring rated cut resistance beyond its listed standards, or high-heat applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-purchase option within the ERGODYNE Series 821 glove line for general-purpose field work applications requiring smooth-surface grip performance.
These gloves are donned and doffed by hand-service workers, warehouse personnel, and field technicians — no tools required. Inspect gloves before each use for tears, punctures, or degraded silicone coating that would reduce grip performance. Do not use these gloves as a substitute for rated cut-resistant, electrical-insulating, or chemical-resistant hand protection where those hazards are present. Follow your facility or jobsite PPE program for glove inspection, replacement intervals, and disposal.
