The ERGODYNE 16782 is a strap-on traction cleat designed to add grip to work boots in icy or slippery field conditions. The pull-on attachment method allows the cleat to slip over the boot without buckles or straps to adjust. Stud-style traction elements bite into packed snow, ice, and wet surfaces to reduce slip risk during outdoor service work. Sized for small men's and women's footwear, this cleat is a lightweight solution carried by HVAC techs, utility workers, plumbers, and other trades working exterior job sites in winter conditions. The unit weighs 0.34 pounds and ships as a single pair.
The 16782 is intended for use over most standard work boots in small sizing. It is suited for residential and light commercial service calls where technicians move across driveways, rooftops, and outdoor walkways in winter. The pull-on design allows for quick removal when moving between outdoor and indoor work areas. This cleat is a replacement or spare unit compatible with the TREX line and is sold as a single-pair package.
Fits most work boots in small sizing. Replacement spike compatibility: TREX 6301. Designed for use with the TREX strap-on cleat system.
Traction cleats are installed and removed by the end user and do not require tools. Stretch the cleat over the toe of the boot first, then pull the rear strap over the heel. Inspect studs for wear before each use and replace spike inserts when traction is visibly reduced. Do not wear traction cleats on smooth interior flooring, ladders, or scaffolding, as studs reduce stability on hard flat surfaces.
