The ERGODYNE 12562 is an evaporative cooling bandana designed for workers in hot environments who need lightweight, wearable heat relief. Built with advanced PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) material, the bandana absorbs water and releases it slowly through evaporation to lower the temperature at the neck. The tie-style design allows for a secure, adjustable fit, and the camo pattern makes it suitable for outdoor and industrial job sites. It ships as a pack of 6 units, making it practical for outfitting a crew. This product is part of the Chill-Its 6700CT line, which integrates an evaporative cooling towel into the bandana construction for added coverage.
The 12562 is used in outdoor labor, construction, landscaping, roofing, and other trades where workers are exposed to direct heat and sun for extended periods. The evaporative cooling mechanism requires only water activation — no refrigerants, chemicals, or power source needed. It is suited for residential and commercial job sites and is commonly carried by safety managers outfitting field crews during warm-weather operations.
Designed as a wearable personal cooling accessory compatible with standard heat-management PPE programs for outdoor and industrial trades.
Soak the bandana in cold water for approximately the time indicated on the product label until the PVA material is fully activated. Wring out excess water before wearing to avoid dripping onto electrical components or tools. Replace or re-soak when the bandana no longer feels cool to the touch. No tools or trade licensing required for use.
