Episode ECS-200-IC-8 Commercial In-ceiling Speaker

Product Description

The EPISODE ECS-200-IC-8 is a commercial-grade in-ceiling speaker designed for 25-volt and 70-volt distributed audio systems. It is an 8-inch ceiling-mount speaker built for permanent installation in commercial environments where multi-zone audio distribution is required. The dual-voltage 25V and 70V compatibility makes it suitable for use on standard commercial amplifier systems without additional impedance matching hardware. Installation is performed by low-voltage or audio-visual technicians as part of a structured audio system build-out.

This speaker is intended for commercial audio distribution applications including restaurants, retail spaces, offices, hotels, and other facilities requiring background music or paging capability. The 25V and 70V transformer taps allow the speaker to connect directly to a 70-volt amplifier line, which is the standard topology for large-venue or multi-zone commercial audio. It is sold and priced individually as a single unit.

Key Features

• Dual-voltage operation supports both 25-volt and 70-volt distributed audio systems
• 8-inch driver size suited for ceiling installation in commercial spaces
• In-ceiling mounting design for clean, low-profile integration into finished ceilings
• Sold as a single unit for flexible quantity ordering
• Appropriate for background music, paging, and general commercial audio applications

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for commercial 25V and 70V distributed audio systems. Consult the product data sheet for full amplifier and system compatibility details.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or audio-visual technician familiar with 70-volt distributed audio system wiring practices. Disconnect and power down the amplifier before making any speaker line connections. Follow local building codes and NEC low-voltage wiring requirements for in-ceiling speaker installations, including proper fire-rated enclosures where code requires them. Do not connect this speaker directly to a standard 4-ohm or 8-ohm amplifier output without a 70-volt transformer in the signal path.
