The ENERPAC rr-5020 is a double-acting, general-purpose hydraulic cylinder with a solid plunger rod, built for heavy industrial pushing, pulling, and pressing applications. It delivers 55.3 tons of advance force and 11.8 tons of retract force at a rated working pressure of 10,000 psi. The steel housing is finished in baked enamel for corrosion resistance. With a 3-3/4 inch bore and a 20.13 inch stroke, this cylinder is suited for high-force positioning and maintenance tasks where both extension and retraction must be powered. Licensed hydraulic technicians and millwrights are the typical installers.
The rr-5020 belongs to the ENERPAC RR series of double-acting cylinders, which are designed for general-purpose industrial use. Base mounting makes it straightforward to fixture into existing tooling, press frames, or maintenance jigs. The 3/8-18 NPTF port accommodates standard hydraulic hose fittings. The 2.81 inch rod diameter and 5 inch OD housing are sized for the structural loads this cylinder generates. Typical applications include steel fabrication, heavy equipment maintenance, bridge and structural work, and industrial production tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application cylinder within the ENERPAC RR series, compatible with 10,000 psi hydraulic systems using 3/8-18 NPTF ported connections.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or millwright familiar with high-pressure hydraulic systems. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic circuit fully before connecting or disconnecting any fittings. Ensure all port connections are rated for 10,000 psi service and that the mounting surface can sustain the full advance load of 55.3 tons. Follow applicable ASME and OSHA guidelines for hydraulic tooling setup and load control.
