The ENERCO HSSVFBF30NGBT is a 30,000 BTU vent-free blue flame heater designed for natural gas service. It heats by warming the air in the room rather than radiating heat to surfaces, making it well-suited to well-insulated spaces. A built-in blower fan rated at 185 CFM distributes heated air throughout the space. Thermostatic control with five settings modulates the flame as the room approaches the set temperature, cycling the burner on and off to maintain comfort. The unit operates at 99.9% efficiency and includes a low-oxygen shutoff sensor as a safety measure. Electronic push-button ignition is battery-powered, so the heater continues to produce heat during a power outage, though the blower will not run without electricity.
This heater is rated to condition approximately 750 square feet and is intended for residential or light-commercial supplemental heating in spaces served by natural gas. It ships with both a wall-mount bracket and base feet, giving the installer flexibility. For wall mounting, the manufacturer recommends positioning the unit 36 inches above the floor for easy access. When floor-mounted on the base feet, a minimum clearance of 3 inches to the top of carpet is required. Minimum clearance above the unit is 36 inches, and at least 10 inches of clearance is required on each side. This product cannot be shipped to California.
Designed as a vent-free blue flame heater for natural gas supply lines. Available in the natural gas configuration as model HSSVFBF30NGBT. Not approved for installation in the state of California.
Installation should be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes and the applicable requirements of the IFGC. Shut off the gas supply at the service valve before making any connections to the 1/2-inch gas inlet. Verify that inlet gas pressure is within the specified operating range before startup. Observe all required clearances to combustibles and ensure the space is not an unventilated, sealed environment, as vent-free appliances require adequate room air for safe combustion.
