The EMUGE GFR35106.5046 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UNF threads in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, this tool delivers the wear resistance and dimensional stability required for precision thread production. It produces 7/16-20 UNF internal threads with a cutting diameter of 0.3710 inches and a length of cut of 0.8740 inches. Three right-hand helical flutes provide clean chip evacuation, while a coolant-through design keeps the cutting zone clear during high-cycle operations. Machinists and CNC tool programmers working in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing use this tool for producing accurate threaded holes in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This thread mill is suited for internal UNF thread production in CNC machining centers. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet and end mill holders, and the 1-9/16-inch shank length accommodates typical spindle reach requirements. The minimum nominal diameter of 0.4375 inches corresponds directly to the 7/16-20 thread specification. Coolant-through capability makes it appropriate for deep-hole threading cycles where chip packing is a concern. It is used in job shops and production machining environments where a single tool must generate the full thread form in one helical interpolation pass.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation and producing 7/16-20 UNF internal threads with a minimum nominal diameter of 0.4375 inches.
This tool is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician in a compatible collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the 3/8-inch shank diameter. Confirm that the machining center supports helical interpolation before programming the threading cycle. Use appropriate cutting data recommended by the tool manufacturer for the workpiece material and ensure coolant flow is active through the spindle before the threading pass begins. Secure the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified drawbar torque per the machine tool builder guidelines.
