The EMUGE CU797300.5013 is a spiral point plug extension tap designed for threading 1/2-13 UNC holes in production and maintenance machining applications. Built from cobalt high-speed steel and finished with an NE2 coating, this tap delivers increased heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. It features three right-hand flutes and a plug chamfer, with an overall length of 8.8 inches and a 1-1/8 inch thread length. The extended reach makes it suitable for threading deep or recessed holes where a standard-length tap cannot reach. A reduced shank at 0.3670 inches diameter and a 0.2750 inch square drive are machined to standard tolerances for use in tap wrenches, extension holders, and CNC tapping attachments.
