The EMUGE BU50S800.5011 is a spiral flute tap designed for blind hole threading in non-ferrous metals. It carries a 3/8-16 UNC thread form with a 2B class of fit and a modified bottoming chamfer, making it well suited for applications where thread depth must reach close to the bottom of a blind hole. The tap is manufactured from cobalt and finished with a GLT-8 coating to extend tool life in demanding cutting conditions. With a 45-degree helix angle and a fast flute style, it efficiently evacuates chips upward out of the hole. Overall length is 3.937 inches with a thread length of 0.866 inches. Machinists and tool-room technicians are the primary users.
