The EMUGE BU100501.5033 is a 0-80 UNF straight flute machine tap designed for right-hand threading in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from cobalt high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tap handles both blind hole and through-hole threading applications. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading closer to the bottom of blind holes than a standard plug tap. With a 2BX class of fit and two straight flutes, it is suited for use in automated and manual tapping setups on milling machines, drill presses, and CNC equipment. Overall length is 1.626 inches with a thread length of 0.236 inches.
This tap is part of the EMUGE Rekord A-H series and is engineered for threading in a broad range of materials including austenitic iron, ferritic iron, perlitic iron, spheroidal graphite iron, Meehanite iron, bronze, gunmetal, low alloyed casting steel, high speed steel, and tool steel. It is appropriate for production and maintenance environments where fine thread tapping at the 0-80 size is required. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians working with precision components in aerospace, defense, and general metalworking applications will find this tap suitable for tight-tolerance work.
Designed as a machine tap for 0-80 UNF right-hand threaded blind hole and through-hole applications in austenitic iron, ferritic iron, perlitic iron, spheroidal graphite iron, Meehanite iron, bronze, gunmetal, low alloyed casting steel, high speed steel, and tool steel workpieces. Part of the EMUGE Rekord A-H series.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolmakers familiar with tapping operations. Power down and secure all equipment before installing or changing taps. Use appropriate tapping fluid or cutting oil for the workpiece material to reduce friction and extend tool life. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate appropriate to the thread size and material being tapped.
