The EMERSON QT100C2 is a 2-way hydronic zone valve designed for 1 inch copper-sweat installations requiring high flow capacity and dependable zone isolation. The valve body is constructed of brass and handles water or glycol-based hydronic media. A 24 volt motorized actuator drives smooth, controlled travel between open and closed positions. A built-in end switch signals the full-open position to enable boiler or pump circuits, supporting common zone-control wiring configurations. This valve is suited for mid- to large-zone residential and light-commercial hydronic heating systems where reliable flow control is essential. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
The QT100C2 is used in forced hot water hydronic heating systems where zone isolation and end-switch boiler or pump enable signals are required. Its large-port design supports higher GPM flow rates, making it appropriate for larger heating zones or systems with multiple zone valves. The 1 inch sweat connection is compatible with standard 1 inch copper pipe. Glycol compatibility makes it usable in systems with freeze-protection hydronic fluid. It fits typical zone-valve wiring arrangements found in residential boiler systems and light-commercial hydronic applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation 2-way zone valve for 24 volt hydronic heating systems with 1 inch copper-sweat piping and end-switch boiler or pump enable wiring.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Before soldering, remove the actuator from the valve body to prevent heat damage to internal components. Power down the 24 volt control circuit before wiring the actuator or end switch. Verify that supply piping is 1 inch copper and that the control transformer is rated for the actuator load before completing the installation.
