The EMERSON 49-075T is an inline air separator designed for hydronic heating systems. It separates entrained air from circulating fluid and allows that air to rise and exit through a connected air elimination device. The cast iron body provides long-term durability in closed-loop applications. The 3/4 inch FNPT connections allow for straightforward in-line installation on the system piping. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This air separator is suited for residential and light commercial closed-loop hydronic heating systems. It fits into the supply or return piping where air accumulation is a concern. By continuously separating air from the circulating fluid, it helps reduce corrosion and noise caused by air pockets and supports stable system pressure and heat transfer performance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation air separator for closed-loop hydronic heating systems using 3/4 inch FNPT piping connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and the system manufacturer guidelines. Shut down and depressurize the hydronic system before cutting into existing piping. An automatic air vent or manual vent cap must be installed at the top port of the separator to allow separated air to escape. Verify flow direction markings on the body before final connection.
