The ELKHART PRODUCTS WP4-2-12 is a 3/4-inch WROT copper male street adapter designed to connect copper tubing systems using a solder (sweat) joint. The fitting transitions from a fitting-end (FTG) socket on one side to a male threaded end on the other, allowing direct insertion into a female threaded fitting or valve body. At 0.143 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight component suited for tight plumbing runs. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution, hydronic, and refrigeration piping systems where a threaded-to-copper transition is required.
This male street adapter is used in copper piping assemblies where a solder connection must transition to a male NPT threaded joint. It is appropriate for potable water supply lines, in-wall rough-in plumbing, and hydronic heating distribution. The FTG-end design allows the fitting to slip directly into a standard copper fitting socket without requiring additional solder couplings, saving space in confined installations. The WROT construction indicates wrought copper manufacturing, which provides consistent wall thickness and reliable joint integrity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for 3/4-inch copper FTG x male NPT threaded connections in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local jurisdiction requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize and drain the line before soldering. Use lead-free solder and approved flux when making sweat connections on potable water systems. Allow the joint to cool fully before restoring pressure to the line.
