The ELKHART PRODUCTS STELL-34 is a 3/4-inch copper street 90-degree elbow designed for sweat-solder plumbing connections. It features a FTG (fitting-to-copper) x C (copper) end configuration, allowing one end to insert directly into another fitting socket without a coupling. Part of the KLEENFIT product line, this elbow arrives cleaned and bagged to meet cleanliness standards for potable water and mechanical systems. It is used to make 90-degree directional changes in copper tubing runs. The solder-joint construction provides a reliable, leak-resistant connection when properly fluxed and brazed according to applicable plumbing codes.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where copper tubing systems require a 90-degree turn. The FTG x C connection style is commonly used when transitioning directly out of a valve, tee, or other fitting body, eliminating the need for an extra coupling and reducing the overall footprint of the fitting assembly. Licensed plumbers install this fitting in domestic water supply lines, hydronic heating systems, and HVAC refrigerant-side copper pipework where 3/4-inch tubing is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 3/4-inch copper tubing systems using standard sweat-solder connections.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth, apply lead-free flux, and solder with a lead-free alloy where required by code. Avoid overheating the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can damage nearby components or affect joint integrity.
