The ELKHART PRODUCTS STELL-112 is a 90-degree close-rough street elbow designed for copper sweat piping systems. This wrot copper fitting connects via FTG x C (fitting-to-copper) ends and is joined by solder, making it a standard choice for residential and commercial water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing rough-in work. At 1-1/2 inches, it fits common branch and main line diameters found throughout residential and light commercial construction. The wrot copper construction provides reliable pressure ratings and clean soldering surfaces. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of copper sweat assemblies where a compact 90-degree street turn is required.
This street elbow is suited for potable water supply lines, drain-waste-vent rough-in where copper is specified, and hydronic heating piping. The FTG x C configuration allows the male fitting end to insert directly into another fitting socket, eliminating the need for an additional coupling and saving space in tight rough-in conditions. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit work where 1-1/2-inch copper runs require a close-clearance 90-degree directional change.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper solder fitting for use in standard 1-1/2-inch copper tube sweat piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable IPC or local plumbing code. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting or soldering any piping. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply lead-free flux before soldering. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring pressure to the system.
