The ELKHART PRODUCTS 1" X 3/4" Reducer Coupling With Stop is a wrot copper sweat fitting used to transition from a 1-inch copper line to a 3/4-inch copper line in potable water, HVAC hydronic, and general plumbing systems. The internal stop ensures consistent, repeatable insertion depth for clean, leak-free solder joints. Constructed from wrot copper, this fitting meets the dimensional and material standards expected in professional plumbing installations. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on new construction or retrofit projects where a controlled pipe reduction is required.
This reducer coupling is suited for residential and light commercial copper piping systems where a 1-inch main line must transition down to a 3/4-inch branch or supply line. The C x C (cup by cup) configuration accepts standard copper tubing on both ends and is joined using a sweat solder method. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, hydronic heating loops, and similar closed or open piping systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting compatible with standard 1-inch and 3/4-inch copper tubing in sweat-solder plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean both the tube ends and the fitting cups with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering. Avoid overheating the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the internal stop or compromise the solder joint.
