The ELKHART PRODUCTS NL41-125-40 is a 125 lb lead-free cast companion flange designed for copper tubing systems in residential and commercial plumbing installations. Manufactured from lead-free brass, this solder-type companion flange provides a secure, code-compliant mechanical connection point where piping meets a valve, pump, or fixed equipment flange. At 2-1/2 inches, it is sized for higher-flow domestic or process piping runs. Weighing 4.233 pounds and measuring 7 inches in length with a 1.59-inch width, the casting is substantial enough for pressure-rated service at the 125 lb class rating. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters specify this fitting where a bolted flange joint is required at the termination of a sweat copper line.
This companion flange is suited for 2-1/2-inch copper piping systems in commercial mechanical rooms, hydronic heating distribution, chilled water systems, and industrial process lines. The solder end connection allows it to be sweated directly onto cleaned and fluxed copper pipe using standard soldering practice. Its 125 lb pressure class makes it appropriate for standard-pressure water service and compatible with most ANSI 125 lb flat-face or raised-face mating flanges. The lead-free brass construction satisfies NSF 61 and Safe Drinking Water Act requirements for potable water service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation companion flange for 2-1/2-inch copper piping systems using ANSI 125 lb class flat-face flanged connections in commercial and residential plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.24 bronze and brass flanged fitting standards. Shut off and drain the piping system completely before cutting in or replacing this flange. Clean and flux all mating copper surfaces thoroughly before soldering, and allow the joint to cool fully before torquing flange bolts. Use appropriate gasket material rated for the system fluid and pressure when mating to the companion flange.
